Nwanati High School YES Club kicks off

Nwanati High School in Makuleke Village, South Africa, has recently kicked off our Youth Environmental Stewardship (YES) Club. Four Primary Schools in Malukele run our Eco-Club programme. Most learners in Makuleke move on to Nwanati High school and for children who have been in our Eco-Clubs, our YES Programme offers them (and any news students) a chance to continue their journey with Children in the Wilderness (CITW).

The YES Programme focuses on children with commitment and potential who have been identified on annual CITW camps and in Eco-Clubs as showing a particular interest in conservation and/or leadership potential. The curriculum is an extension of concepts introduced in Eco-Clubs and on annual CITW camps, with a greater focus on career guidance, leadership, team building, communication and further environmental education.

Nwanati High School started their YES Club this term, and kicked off their lessons with Climate Change and Water. Here a few pictures from their YES Club.

A huge thank you to our wonderful Eco-Mentors who conduct our lessons in the YES Club! We look forward to watching your Club grow.
