St Mary’s Primary School Classroom Painting

The third and final phase of the St Mary’s classroom refurbishment has just begun. Last week, over 200 litres of paint, as well as brushers, rollers, and other equipment were delivered to the school in Hwange. This follows the completion of the first two phases: the superstructure and the roofing.

The paint delivery also coincided with a community meeting that CITW had planned for the day. Thus, community leaders and parents were present for the distribution and explanation of paint for the classroom block.

Parents and other members of the community will be painting the building as part of their contribution to the project over the next couple of weeks, so this worked out very well. The school had organised a painter to help on the first day, and he made a great start, showing the parents what to do.

We are so looking forward to providing an update once it is all complete.

Thanks again to Grand Circle Foundation and Overseas Adventure Travellers for their generosity in funding the transformation of this classroom block. It is much appreciated, and the students at St Mary’s will have amazing learning spaces in the near future.
