From Children in the Wilderness (CITW) Zambezi Eco-Club member to vocational graduate, Sinenhlanhla Nkomazana’s journey shows what long-term investment in education can make possible.
Sinenhlanhla joined our Eco-Club at Ngamo Primary School, on the edge of Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park, when she was just 12. Supported by CITW scholarships through secondary school and later at the Ngamo Livestock Farm & Vocational Centre, she graduated in February 2026 with a National Foundation Certificate.
But the story begins before her – Sinenhlanhla’s mother, Zenith, was also an Eco-Club member and CITW scholarship recipient! And today, her younger sister, Minenhle, is following in their footsteps.
Sinenhlanhla’s journey is one of many enabled by the 7,125 scholarships CITW has awarded to date, demonstrating the ripple effect of investing in young people and their communities.
