It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wilderness Safaris founding director and Children in the Wilderness Chairman, Russel Friedman, on 4 February 2018. The longest serving and one of three original Wilderness Safaris stalwarts, Russel joined Wilderness in 1984 and was a pivotal part of its growth and development.
He will be enormously missed, not only by his family, but by generations of Wilderness Safaris employees and Children in the Wilderness staff to whom he was a mentor and guide. His love of life, passion for conservation and his immense integrity will be missed by all who knew him.
Children in the Wilderness will miss your endless support and the love and energy you put into our programme. Thank you for being our biggest supporter.
