Malawi YES Clubs

Graduates of CITW’s Eco-Club programme move on to the YES Club programme. While Eco-Clubs are aimed at children in primary schools, YES Clubs are for youth in secondary school, and beyond.

Napwa YES Club Educational Visit to Liwonde National Park – November 2018.

These youth have been to Liwonde National Park a number of times, and on this visit their objectives included:

  • Interviewing, and seeing for themselves, how the maintenance managers handle litter; also investigating the water, land, air, noise and light pollution in the camps operating inside the Park
  • learning why wildlife populations tend to be concentrated around camps (where people are) in the Park

At CAWS Mvuu Camp the children were highly enlightened by Mr Shawa’s tour of the camp maintenance programme.

In addition, YES Club members have been busy with a number of other activities on their To Do Lists, including educational visits, community sanitation awareness campaigns, and planning workshops for CITW activities.
