Andrew Viyano is a Children in the Wilderness YES Club programme member who has spent more than 10 years with CITW. He started with the Eco-Club programme, moving on to become a YES Club member in secondary school. This year he will be graduating as a journalist from the University of Malawi.
Last week he attended a symposium for young journalists where he was recognised as one of the best upcoming journalists in Malawi, based on his views and practical work in reporting and article-writing, which he demonstrated through his attachment with Zodiak Broadcasting Station, the most popular broadcasting service in the country.
Andrew has shown great interest in conservation programmes and is the chairperson of the CITW YES Programme in Malawi. He is also a member of the committee which participates in major CITW planning meetings. Andrew has volunteered as an annual camp mentor for three years now and this year he is volunteering as Camp Director.
