Kwedi Sables win soccer tournament and donate prize to Children in the Wilderness, Botswana, April 2015

The soccer team from Wilderness Safari’s camps Vumbura Plains and Little Vumbura, called the Kwedi Sables, left on the 27th Feb for a three day tournament in Seronga Village.  Every year it’s held at a different one of the Okavango Community Trust villages, who are our landlords for Vumbura Plains and Little Vumbura camps.

This tournament has been running since 2000.  For the first time in history (after 15 years) the trophy finally came home, back to the Kwedi concession where the camps are situated.  Wilderness has been one of the sponsors for this tournament and it is joy that the Wilderness team has finally bought the trophy home.  The team worked hard with CITW Ambassador, Gordon Gilbert, who made sure that they were fit and ready.  The team brought back a trophy and sum of BWP2000, which they have donated to Children in the Wilderness.
