CITW Namibia’s first urban Eco-Club launched

On Wednesday, 8 November 2023, CITW Namibia ventured into an exciting new partnership with Michelle McLean Primary School, for its first ever urban Eco-Club in Namibia.

The aim is not only to facilitate sustainable conservation through leadership development and education of children in Windhoek, but also to grow the programme and ensure that each Wilderness guest coming to Namibia has an opportunity to witness our engagement in a fun learning environment.

We also implemented an eco-garden that will contribute nutritional value to the ongoing school feeding programme, and practical learning for their natural sciences. We plan on achieving this by adding a school visit on the City Tour trips especially for philanthropic guests.

I would like to especially thank Patrick and Clement for making time and helping to create wonderful memories for our first group of 19 guests who celebrated the day with us. Your selfless contributions and positive energy were exemplary!

We were also joined by Miss Earth Namibia, Martha Kautanevali, who is a civil engineer by profession and an advocate of sustainable conservation. With this came complimentary media time (Desert Radio, The Namibian and NBC) and lots of social media posts for followers to learn about what we do as CITW.
