17 year old Lesley Mpofu was one of the students that attended a CITW camp in 2009 from Ziga rural primary school. She exhibited good leadership qualities during camp attracting the attention of the camp coordinators. Lesley has since been on the CITW scholarship programme, her education sponsored for 4 years at Tsholotsho High boarding school.
After completing 0 level she opted to do a diploma course in Hotel and Catering at Foundation Technical College to pursue her dream of being a camp manager in the tourism industry. We are very pleased that Lesley understood and embraced the opportunities that exist in the Tourism Industry and will be able to mentor other girls from her village.
