Children in the Wilderness (Zimbabwe and Zambia) collaborated with teacher education staff and students at the University of Newcastle, Australia to conduct a two-week study tour for Australian students to Victoria Falls in September/October 2015. The seven teacher education students visited schools in the area, ran a resource-making workshop with local teachers and collaborated with teachers at Jabulani School to undertake various teaching activities with the children including book-making, maths games, and studying for the Grade 7 exams. Back home in Australia these students continue to reflect on their life changing Victoria Falls experience and will take their intercultural learnings into their teaching careers.
