Children in the Wilderness Socio-Economic Survey on the Tourism Impact in Sinde Village Livingstone, Zambia

Children in the Wilderness (CITW) undertook a socio-economic survey in Sinde Village in Livingstone to understand the impact of socio-economic impact of the tourism activities and impacts of the CITW programmes in the village.  CITW is the social responsibility programme for Wilderness Safari and operates in the areas around which Wilderness Safaris operates. The goal is to support sustainable conservation and leadership development for the children in the hopes of securing the good future of its community.

Below are some of the highlights of the presentation of the results of the interventions of the programme. Dr Sue Snyman (Group Sustainability Manager at Wilderness Safaris) conducted the research with James Mwanza (Assistant Community Development Liaison and CITW Programme Coordinator).
