Children in the Wilderness and Wilderness Safaris Johannesburg knit up a storm for Mandela Day

In honour of what would have been Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday yesterday, our Rivonia office staff committed to a goal of knitting 100 items to be donated to a local orphanage. Our knitters started a month ago, and in total, the crew knitted 117 items! There was also a collection of non-perishable items, and our box was overflowing! Bongani Baloyi and the Children in the Wilderness team, along with Margaret Pule (our wonderful receptionist) handed over the donation to the New Jerusalem Children’s Home in Midrand, Gauteng on Friday the 20th July.

Congratulations to our entire Wilderness Safaris and CITW team in Johannesburg who more than rose to the challenge to pay it forward on this most inspirational of days in our annual calendar!
