Celebrating World Wildlife Day 2019 – Bobirwa Region, Botswana

World Wildlife Day is celebrated annually on the 3rd of March. This year’s theme is ‘Life below water: For people and planet’. The World Wildlife Day 2019 aligns closely with the Sustainable Development Goal 14 – Life below water, which focuses on marine species, and will be an opportunity to highlight the critical issues and values of marine wildlife to our everyday lives. The occasion will also celebrate successful initiatives to conserve and sustainably manage these species.

Our Eco-Clubs conduct structured lesson plans on important environmental days, put together by Lisa Witherden, our Environmental Education Resource Developer. Here are a few snaps of our Eco-Clubs in the Bobirwa Region of Botswana learning all about ‘Life below water’ under the trees during their Eco-Club lesson.
