An update on our SAWC Students

Each month, we receive reports from our students at the Southern African Wildlife College (SAWC) on what they’ve been up to. It seems like April has been a busy one, as Zanele Mathonsi (SAWC Project Administrator) reports.

“The Bridging Course learners completed the Environmental Education Module in April where they learnt about the environment as a whole. They also learnt how to create presentations and give presentations on the environment to children, youth and adults. The students learnt about the different types of trees, animals and birds in the eco-system around the college. Students were also taught environmental education games.

The highlight of the month was a trip to the Kruger National Park and a visit to Lethaba Elephants Hall, where they learnt about elephatns. They are now busy with the Environmental Leadership module where they are learning leadership skills needed to survive in the bush and also in their personal lives.”

We are incredibly proud of our students who seem to be soaking up the experience and knowledge.
