CITW Zambezi has started distributing reusable face masks, and have so far donated to the following entities around Victoria Falls:
- Victoria Falls Old People’s Home
- Zimbabwe Immigration (for town office, two border posts, and the airport)
- Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority
- Victoria Falls Anti-Poaching Unit
All those who received masks were so grateful and excited at the prospect of wearing their new, colourful, reusable masks. For official offices, we also made sure that all masks matched so that they would look uniform.
We were able to capture some of the recipients at the Old People’s Home happily showing off their new masks.
We will also soon be distributing face masks to examination class students who will likely be returning to school before other grades. As it is now mandatory to wear a mask in public, we will ensure that all Grade 7s, Form 4s, and Form 6s, as well as their teachers, have a mask.
