Naledi Kgoba – A long time ambassador of CITW and SAWC student

A familiar face to the Children in the Wilderness programme, Naledi Kgoba from Botswana was first introduced to CITW in 2009 as an Eco-Club member. He attended annual CITW camps while he was in school, and now regularly volunteers as an Eco-Mentor on CITW camps. Naledi is a shining example to the CITW participants he interacts with, as well as his community.
Last year, Naledi was a beneficiary of a SAWC bursary. It is his dream to become a field guide, and Naledi gained valuable experience in this regard while at the college.
He completed his practical work experience at Banoka Bush Camp in December last year. Naledi is currently contracted with Wilderness Safaris in the Lenyanti concession, working as a trainee in different departments around camp – from front of house, to housekeeping. Once he has spent time in all the departments in camp, he will be placed in the position best suited to him.
We are proud to have had Naledi involved in all the different aspects of the CITW programme, and wish him every success as he follows his dream.
