Lesedi Primary School Volunteers’ Food for Work

Six motivated volunteers at Lesedi Primary School, near Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, have each received a food pack as part of the Food for Work programme.

The six volunteers have been working hard since the reopening of schools, and help to ensure that daily tasks are carried out without disruption to the school day. Tasks include checking students’ temperatures on their arrival to school, marking the register, helping students wash their hands throughout the day, organising the porridge and lunch meals for each class, washing face masks, and covering textbooks to ensure they don’t get damaged.

The food packs, donated through the Chairman’s Foundation, will provide a significant boost to the recipients while acknowledging their service to the school.

All the recipients are parents of students at the school and are so grateful. As many of them are struggling to earn an income at the moment and have families to feed, these packs are a huge relief, particularly heading into the Christmas period.

We are so grateful to the Chairman’s Foundation for their continued support over these challenging months.
