Wilderness Rwanda and CITW Facilitate Volleyball Court at Kinihira Secondary School

Children in the Wilderness Rwanda (CITW) is excited to share with you the news of a brand-new volleyball court installation at Kinihira Secondary School, located in the Gishwati community just outside Gishwati-Mukura National Park.

Thanks to generous donations from guests at our Wilderness camps in Rwanda, CITW has been able to support the school with this wonderful sports facility.

The project’s combined value amounts to USD 2,023.00, which includes the installation, and all necessary materials. The supplies were purchased through local companies, further supporting the community at large with employment on the construction, as well as income.

The school has a total of 759 students, plus 31 teachers, all of whom greatly appreciate CITW’s continuous support. The volleyball court is also available to the Gishwati communities for their use over weekends, when they won’t disturb the students in class.

Jean Damascene Nsabimana, Kinihira’s Headmaster expressed his gratitude.

“On behalf of Kinihira Secondary School, we would like to thank you so much for your support of the volleyball playground, and all facilities. The court is now available to our children and even the surrounding communities for games, and relaxing. We promise you that we will be the best school in playing volleyball! We thank you for always being there to support us”.
