Children in the Wilderness Zimbabwe has been working closely with Jabulani Primary School since 2012 and has been instrumental in its growth. Feedback from the teachers confirmed that access to on-site, rent free housing would incentivise them to stay at the school and this was a vital component for long-term development and sustainability of the school. With thanks to generous funding provided by The Australian Embassy, three two-bedroom homes, which will accommodate up to six teachers on site at the School, were completed in January 2016. The project was no small feat; valued at US$26,023.00, this new housing supports a vital component in the establishment of a robust and successful school community at Jabulani. In turn, with teachers who are committed and stable at the School, the children will continue to benefit from increased quality in teacher instruction.
