Stationery for Chidobe, St Mary’s & Lukosi Teachers

CITW Zambezi acutely appreciates the crucial role that teachers play for children throughout Zimbabwe. With this in mind, and thanks to the Grand Circle Foundation, the CITW team is thrilled to have been able to assist 60 teachers from St Mary’s Primary, Chidobe Primary and Lukosi Secondary schools with a large hamper of stationery each to see them through the second term.

With the ongoing economic struggles faced across the country schools often can’t afford to equip their teachers with the appropriate materials and stationery for teaching, and they are unable to provide the children within their schools with the quality of education that they deserve.

In this instance, the hampers for each teacher contained chalk, pens, glue, scissors, rulers, books, markers and paper, all of which are the basics – essential materials needed for these teachers to carry out their lessons.

By donating these packs, CITW’s main aim is to alleviate some of the many struggles that these teachers currently face, while at the same time ensuring that all of the students at these schools are being taught in a conducive learning environment. As well as this, CITW hopes to have further encouraged these teachers by highlighting that their work in teaching is highly appreciated and continues to be vitally important.
