Santawani Annual Camp, Botswana

Santawani Annual Camp

The annual Eco-Club Camp at Santawani Camp was a great success, with two camps being run back-to-back and a total of 56 children hosted between the two camps. It was a wonderful experience for the children to have had a presentation by The Wild Dog Research Group, who showed the children how they track and monitor the wild dog. The second group of campers were also visited by The Natural Habitat Group, who conduct their research from Gomoti Camp.

The camp lessons focused on learning about the Delta and its importance to Botswana’s eco-System and tourist trade. Lessons on mammals and birds, and game drives to complement them, were well-received by all of the children. Life skills lesson and team work activities are also always a highlight of our camps.
