With generous donations from Wilderness Safaris Bisate guests, we have been able to support Bisate Primary School with a water purification tank. The purification tank treats the rainwater that is harvested at the school, and creates suitable drinking water for all the students and teachers!

In May the Tuzamurane Tree Nursery Project, located in the Bisate community, made some big strides, including the purchase of two plots of land thanks to a sponsorship from Bisate guests. The land title deed is in the name of the Tuzamurane Co-operative, which was started by community members who sold part of their land to Bisate Lodge. The tree nursery has been established, including shade netting, and seeds are in the ground. One permanent agronomist and two security personnel have been employed to ensure constant care of the nursery. The other members of the co-operative assist on a day to day basis.
Bisate Nursery School, situated in the the Nyarusizi cell, looks after the little ones in the Bisate community. The nursery school needed many basic supplies like chairs, Tippy Taps, soap, face masks for all the children, hand sanitiser, mats and mattresses. Using the kind donations of Bisate guests, we were able to provide this to the nursery school in May 2021.
