Marienfluss Tippy Tap Construction

A COVID-Relief challenge in the most remote corners of Namibia has been the implementation of frequent hand-washing.

Mr Opuvaro Katundu, the Head of Department of all the mobile schools around Opuwo, led an initiative, accompanied by Health Extension workers, to build Tippy Taps at water-collection points and households as far north as the Mariennfluss Conservancy (see its situation here) with great success.

Pictured is a low Tippy Tap for the young members of the Himba community at Otjinungua village in the Marienfluss Conservancy.
