Congratulations to Elephants Alive’s Dr Michelle Henley, Director, Co-founder and Principal Researcher, for her prestigious 2019 SANParks Kudu Award for Women in Conservation!
The award recognises and celebrates women that are ground breakers in the area of conservation, environmental education, tourism and socio-economic development areas. In presenting this award, the aim is also to raise awareness to other women of opportunities available in conservation, tourism and socio-economic issues relating to SANParks mandate.
We have been privileged to introduce some of our Pafuri Eco-Club members – including Destiny – on annual camps, where the children had truly life-changing experiences working with Michelle in hands-on data gathering in the Kruger National Park.
Here are a few happy memories from a past Eco-Camp at Pafuri with Michelle.
