CITW Namibia’s Agnes Tjirare reports on an innovative poultry project she has facilitated in the Marienfluss Conservancy, funded by P E Minerals (Pty) Ltd.
The project has both broiler and laying chickens, and the community members plan to sell their produce to the nearby lodges and self-drive visitors, to generate revenue for their school feeding programme.
Any surplus will be supplied to the school to supplement the government supply, and add to their children’s nutrition.
