Children in the Wilderness Namibia’s Eco-Club at Otjinungua Primary School, located in the far northern Marienfluss Conservancy (where Wilderness Serra Cafema is situated), recently hosted a career day. All the students dressed up as the professionals they aspire to become after completing school.

The Otjinungua Primary School’s Eco-Club’s goal for Career Day was to help students find a career suitable for them. Additionally, their aim is to assist students in developing the necessary skills to achieve success in those careers later in life.
As part of the event, a nurse from the Otjinungua clinic was invited to speak about the nursing profession and the duties entailed.

Career guidance helps learners to plan their futures, and motivates them to work hard towards their dreams.
Otjinungua Primary School, together with the Eco-Club Mentors, teach the learners by setting career goals, which provide direction, motivation, and purpose. Clear goals help the learners stay focused, and work harder, to build successful and fulfilling careers.
