During Wilderness Safaris Botswana’s food hamper deliveries in Gudigwa, our colleague and former CITW Botswana Programme Co-ordinator, Lesh Moiteela, was surprised and delighted to run into one of the pupils who received a bicycle donated by The Mike’s Bikes Foundation in 2018.
CITW Botswana and The Mike’s Bikes Foundation’s partnership dates way back to 2015. The foundation donated 24 bicycles that were part of the prizes won during CITW Botswana-run competitions for the Eco-Clubs. Each winner received a bicycle, along with a helmet, riding gear, and various other accessories with two bicycles allocated to each of the Eco-Clubs.
We are happy to learn that the bicycles are still running and that they continue to make life easier for our Eco-Club members.
