Wilderness Rwanda supports Gisunzu Primary with 70 new desks

Children in the Wilderness Rwanda’s (CITW) partner primary school in the Gishwati Forest area, Gisunzu Primary School, is growing, with many new learners enrolling for classes.

Since Wilderness and Gisunzu Primary School partnered in 2019, the students have been participating more actively, and there are significantly fewer dropouts! Not only that, but the new students enrolling at the school is a great sign of the positive impact Wilderness and CITW are having in the area.

All the new students joining is so exciting, but has also created the need for more desks.

Accordingly, this month 70 new desks, valued at USD 2,500 were donated by Wilderness Rwanda and CITW, made possible by generous donations from guests.

The desks were commissioned from local carpenters in the Gishwati area, further empowering local suppliers with job opportunities and income, and Headmaster Cyprien expressed his thanks to Wilderness and CITW for the continuous support.

We wish all the Gisunzu Primary School students great success for their school year!
