Manyara National Park Clean-up

Residents of communities near Manyara National Park are playing a crucial role in conserving and protecting the park and its wildlife.

Doctor Tipay, Wilderness Tanzania Community Liaison & CITW Programme Co-ordinator, in collaboration with TANAPA Ujirani Mwema, organised a park visit for locals who were on a game scout training and conservation workshop.

This park visit and clean-up provided essential knowledge, exposure and skills for sustainable practices, wildlife identification and monitoring, and effective conservation strategies.

The villagers also shared their traditional wisdom and cultural insights with CITW, to continue strengthening our conservation efforts.

This activity is just one of many ways to convert the villagers into conservation ambassadors through the three pillars of our Impact strategy: Educate, Empower and Protect.
