Janet grew up and matriculated in the Eastern Cape before moving to Johannesburg. Her working career began in the motor industry and over the years she has worked extensively in the sports, hotel and travel/tourism industries.

Academic study earned her an MBA with her dissertation on Sustainable Development. Janet’s passion is for the environment and with a keen interest in conservation of nature she has completed courses in field guiding and wildlife filmmaking.
