Recently, CITW Namibia Eco-Mentors had the good fortune of meeting one of our CITW Namibia board members, geologist and President of Women in Mining Namibia, Ms Zenzi Awases.
The mentors greatly benefited from meeting Zenzi and gaining insight into her profession, as well as how the mining and conservation sectors are interlinked.
Zenzi confirmed that teachers need a lot of support as they influence children through their actions, and are often the first to see the children’s potential – even before the parents do.
She further mentioned that she had a teacher who inspired her at primary school many years ago, and who she still looks up to, to this day!
Zenzi graciously thanked the teachers for their dedication, and wished them all the best with their programme implementation.
