They say that the more that you read, the more things you will know, and the more that you learn the more places you will go! This is why CITW Zambezi is always so appreciative of donations of books to distribute to our partner schools throughout Zimbabwe.
Last week a lovely lady donated a large pile of books for us to distribute, and the team at CITW decided that Chidobe Primary School was most in need.
The special thing about these books is that they were all written for Zimbabwean children, meaning that the stories are highly relatable, and the students are able to recognise a lot of the places and things that are spoken about in the books.
While handing out the books at the school, one book in particular stood out for a few of the young girls – titled “I Am Enough”. The book’s main message is about loving who you are, respecting others and always being kind to one another, no matter your differences; a very important message for everyone to read and learn about.
With these relatable and fun stories, as well as the important messages, CITW Zambezi is sure that the students at Chidobe Primary School are going to take every opportunity to read these fantastic books!
