The Shoe That Grows, changing lives and making a difference. Boundless Journeys’ Destination Manager, Deborah recently visited Zimbabwe. Read the little write-up below:
On her recent trip to Zimbabwe, our Destination Manager, Deborah, brought a bag of 50 pairs of shoes to Children in the Wilderness in Ngamo village outside of Hwange National Park. Shoes are a luxury in Zimbabwe, so we secured a donation from The Shoe That Grows, which makes durable shoes that expand 5 sizes. Deborah visited the Children in the Wilderness 3-day camp for 10-12 year old kids, where they learn about the environment and conservation, and spend time with positive mentors. For many this is their first time away from home, on a safari drive, and with 3 meals a day.
