Agnes Mujozikua Tjirare joined Wilderness Safaris in 2008. Agnes was one of just a few candidates selected to attend a maiden Namibia Hospitality Training Programme ten years ago. After successfully completing training in Tourism and Hospitality, Agnes was referred for employment to Wilderness Safaris by her trainers who were impressed with her extraordinary passion and zeal to learn and grow. Here, she received intensive training and served in many other roles, including guiding, assistant camp management and logistics administration among others.
After completing her training with Lobster ink International, she eventually became a specialised service trainer tasked with the responsibility of looking after more than ten camps, focusing on hospitality, customer care standards and housekeeping training. During her role as a service trainer she was responsible for over 200 staff members in seven lodges, across both of Wilderness’s Classic and Premier categories. Agnes not only imparted job skills to her peers and colleagues but she also became a revered mentor and inspiration to others at Wilderness Safaris.
Currently, she is tasked with overseeing the CITW programme for Namibia, a huge role that requires her to work with ten or more schools, directly interacting with and impacting more than 800 learners.
As a passionate individual who possesses a great sense of drive and ambition to excel at whatever she puts her mind to, Agnes is the ideal candidate to oversee CITW’s programme in Namibia, with the reach and results of the programme growing tremendously under her guidance, both for individual children, schools and other partner organisations.
Agnes is a firm believer in hard work, diligence and perseverance. As she says, “Anticipating unexpressed needs and tailoring service to meet this, while devising new ways to enhance the process, is our primary focus”.
