CITW Board meeting with input by Dr Sue Snyman, Namibia, May 2015

CITW recently held a board meeting that was attended by Dr Sue Snyman the regional coordinator of the programme from the head office in Johannesburg. As part of her role Dr Sue hopes to strengthen the programme by assisting with both standardising core program objectives and improving on governance of the programme across the regions.

Community involvement in the annual CITW camps, Malawi, April 2015

Day one (campers’ arrival day) is usually coloured with cultural/traditional themes. This is intentionally done so that the children have a smooth transition between life at home and that of camp. It helps the children settle and get into camp culture and environment.

Kwedi Sables win soccer tournament and donate prize to Children in the Wilderness, Botswana, April 2015

he soccer team from Wilderness Safari’s camps Vumbura Plains and Little Vumbura, called the Kwedi Sables, left on the 27th Feb for a three day tournament in Seronga Village. Every year it’s held at a different one of the Okavango Community Trust villages, who are our landlords for Vumbura Plains and Little Vumbura camps.
