Environmental Education Coordinator – Zambezi

BRENDA FINAUGHTY

Brenda was born in Harare, Zimbabwe and moved to Victoria Falls when she was seven.  Growing up in the Falls, Brenda was taught by Sue Goatley, and in Grade 7 went on a class trip to one of the Wilderness Safaris camps in Hwange.  This trip opened her eyes to the difficulties faced by vulnerable schools, and when the opportunity arose to be part of the Children in the Wilderness (CITW) team, she jumped at the chance.  Having just moved back to Zimbabwe after four years in the UK, Brenda joined the team in March 2019.  She is now the Environmental Education Coordinator for the Zambezi Region, ensuring that the Eco-Club and YES Programmes run efficiently and effectively.  Brenda is excited about being part of the CITW team and is looking forward to inspiring change and helping to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
