This is our fourth mountain bike event, but the first of this route. The previous events took place in the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park and  the Makuleke / Pafuri region of northern Kruger National Park. Due to the remote location of this event and the extensive and expensive logistics, we have decided to pursue a new route

Our objectives are still the same i.e. to give cyclists (a) an incredible opportunity to ride through fantastic and wild National Parks and (b) to raise funds for a worthy non-profit organization -  Children in the Wilderness, a rural children's environmental and life skills programme for vulnerable children.

This cycle tour is an amazing mountain bike ride through wonderful countryside that riders can't normally access. It is not a race, but a ride through some wonderful areas.

The cyclist participation cost is as follows:

• Individual cyclist entries - A minimum  sponsorship donation of R 10 900.00 per cyclist  

• Team entry of a minimum of 5 cyclists entering together  - A minimum  sponsorship  donation of R10 400 per cyclist  

• Team entry  of  a minimum of 15 cyclists  entering together  - A minimum sponsorship donation of R 9 900 per cyclist  

Please note that for team entries all communication, payments etc need to be administered by one team member on behalf of their team. Team entries must be identified by a team name at time of entry.

Whilst the participation cost sounds high, we endeavour to give the cyclists a quality experience, whilst at the same time all free cash generated goes to a non profit organisation. Your donation will go to Children in the Wilderness and in so doing will help to preserve our environment and to help educate our rural children on life skills and the importance of conservation. We believe that in the long run, your money will assist in ensuring that critically threatened environments are conserved.

We are also actively looking for any interested sponsors that would like to participate in this event, to enable us to reduce our overheads and generate more revenue for these charities.
